Puppy and kitty problems

Our 1 1/2 yr. Old German Shepherd puppy and two cats aren't adjusting well to each other. Lila is obsessed with playing with them and the don't want to play. Help!!!! I know most of us stitchers are animal lovers. We love them all even hired a trainer but that doesn't start until June 4. We have Lila with the baby gate keeping her in the family room. But discovered blood on one of cats bottom after being chased out of the litter box. I thought maybe it was poo so got a paper towel to wipe her off and saw a little blood . Must have been drinking and pot tying less due to not wanting to be chased. If Lila wants she will hop the couch. Can't get the kitty to the vet until Tues. Just worried so much about them all.' All advice is welcome and appreciarex

A book and a new project

I just finished listening to Death in Paradise by Carolyn Hart. I am now listening to Death on the River Walk. I really enjoyed listening to it while stitching.

Here is what I stitched while listening to it.

And here is the latest of Lila

Its a girl.

Meet our newest member of our family. Delilah Jane.

Delilah is a German Shepherd mixed with black lab. She is a year and a half old and has been spending the last fourteen months at the Ripley Humane Society which is a no kill shelter. We brought her home yesterday evening.

Sheba

Our sweet baby went over the rainbow bridge Wednesday May 9, 2012. She was the best dog we've ever had. It killed us to let her go but she was beginning to suffer. We will never forget her.

God showed us her rainbow on the way home. It was vertical from ground to the clouds. As we got closer to home it left the ground and rose up in the sky. When we got home the rainbow was gone. It gave us chills.

A wonderful weekend.

This was such a nice weekend. Saturday we had taco salads and tapioca pudding for dessert. We also went to Indy on Saturday to get some prescription refills for Sheba. She is doing well by the way. We stopped at Half Price Books and i found a few goodies.

After the bookstore we hit Bed Bath & Beyond. We bought the Keurig coffee maker a while back in September so we bought some yummy coffee and a real nice k-cup storage drawer set by Nifty Solutions.

And here it is all set up and filled. It even has room on top for cups or other things.

We found some filters for our k cup filter that you put your own ground coffee in. Without the paper filter it gets a bit clogged. The ones we bought claim they only work with their kind. Turns out they do just fine in any of them.

And here is one of our latest favorites. Pam found this coffee and sent samples home with Jim's when he visited a while back. We drink a lot of decaf. Its amazing that there is no bitter after taste with these decafs.

And here is a glimpse of our taco salad and the Hawaiian pizza I made for lunch. I used deli ham meat chopped, olive oil in the crust with Italian seasonings, and a ring of pineapple with cheese. Yummy.

And here's the progress on my exchange that is way overdue.

Received exchange.

Joann Perry from Serendipitous Stitching
http://serendipitousstitching.blogspot.com/ sent me the nicest exchange. I received it yesterday and loved everything in it. She is from Oulton Broad in Britain. She sent me lots of souvenirs from the Diamond Jubilee celebrating Queen Elizabeth the second. Joann. I just loved everything. I'm so glad you were able to find a patch for me. Your is on the way real soon. Should have it in the post by early week.

Here is the lovely patch she found me. I have a jacket that I have tons of patches on from different places we have visited or friends have sent. I will take a picture once I get it added to my coat.

A lovely thimble with her suburb on it of Oulton Broad.

Look at this beautiful fridge magnet which could also be used as a paperweight. It is a Diamond Jubilee celebration souvenir.

There are also two leather bookmarks, a pencil, a paper advertising a celebration in her town and a little British notebook.

And....
This beautiful card stitched for me of a British flag heart. Love the silver embossing on the card. Jo you outdid yourself. I can hardly wait to send some cool stuff your way.

I did some yummy cooking in the Redi set go with Jim. We made little individual pizzas. So far this one is working fine and the other must have been a fluke. The first ones we ate before I got a pic off. But the second ones turned out real nice too.

Mine was a ranch spinach with mushroom and onion and a pizza mix cheese. Yummy....

Here is Jim's going into to redi set go...

And here it is coming out and the end result is.....

His was made with ground up polish sausage, olive oil, onion, Italian seasoning, a few crumbles of hamburger, and mozzarella cheese.

Wow is all I can say. I also made some jello with bananas and whipped topping and we had garden salads.

Today we are off to do some shopping and then back home. I've got to finish my PS ornament. I am behind and so embarrassed. I will do something special to make it up to my partner.

Blessed Stitching,
Sarah Beth
