Need Help

I need to find some shepherds bush chart freebies to make an ornament. There used to be some type of generator thing on the net that stored all the freebies offered by designers that were eventually taken off their web pages. This was able to find the old webpage and its like a whole filing cabinet by designer or company I can't remember it anymore. I'm sure one of my followers knows what I'm talking about

Baby its cold outside

Here is my latest finish for the Halloween SAL. I used ribbon from my play stash run. I love how it makes the kitty pop. The design is from the JCS Halloween 2012 issue by JBW.
Here I used a backing fabby I got with other Halloween fabrics 9 years ago. This is my first time doing ruching. I love it
Marilyn from my stitching yahoo group RAK'ed me with these pretties.
I love the bracelet. I wear it to remind myself I'm a daughter of the King. That's God of course. Inside the zipper I keep a bible verse to memorize. I put a new one in once I've memorized it:-)

Here is a book I recently purchased at Half Price Books for one dollar. Below is the ornie I will make for the Christmas SAL.
It uses a technique called Bargello. Isn't it adorable.
That's all I have for today. It sure is cold outside! Brrrrr!

Time and giveaway

15 Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 18 And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit, 19 addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, 20 giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, 21 submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ.

Ephesians 5:15-21

Am I making the most out of the time I have for the kingdom of God?

Well this weeks sermon was based on Eph 5:1-21. Our pastor challenged us to reexamine our schedules to see if and how we are honoring God with the time he's given us. He gave us a chart to fill out our schedule so we could evaluate our week. Do I honor him in my relationships? Do I spend time seeking to know Him. Where am I wasting time. Are there things in my schedule that are unnessesary. Am I taking care of my body because my body is the temple. That makes me think twice about the next piece of something sweet I take:-)

The message made me think and I know one way I honor God with my time is when I share His love with my blogging friends.. Or when I do something nice for one of them. I'm going to make a list of each person who follows my blog and start to daily pray for you. If you have a request or just need a friends caring ear I am here:-) I'm going yo pray for 60 days specifically for you to come to know Gods love ...for you to feel Christ's love thru me . If you don't have him in your life I'm going to pray you will want him in your life and understand how very much he loves you. I want to be a good friend and hope to gain your friendship as well as I stitch and share my love of crafts. And I'm going to ask you to pray for me too.

Oh..and guess what..its my birthday. So I will be offering a special giveaway of goodies. It will be a surprise so no pictures...but you will love it. You Dont have to be a follower to win. The only requirement is this.

Tell me one thing or more if you want that I can pray for you about in your comments. That's it..easy peasy:-)

Can you guess how old I am? If you can there will be an extra giveaway for the winner.

Also plese include a link to your blog in your comment. Thanks

Spoiled Rotten:-)

Jim decided to spoil me rotten the other day by taking me to hobby lobby to get a few things. Somehow my $30 bucket turned into $130! Lol...I know you all have been there. I was just telling Jim that I had plant of patterns and kits. What I really needed was trim, floss, and fabric. Well they were having a 50% off sale on trim. I thought to myself... I'll just have a look and get a few.Ha! I really went crazy. The trim above is green, pink, and red gingham ruffled along with another pink ruffle and some brighter ones. Dont you just love the cupcake ribbon:-)

The brown, cream, and black have beads on them. The dk teal ruffle looks do amazing. Its very shimmery.
The orange on left is like the teal above. Both will look awesome on an ornament. Next is a bright multicolored followed by a thin bright orange, another multicolored in a different shade, and a pretty yellow.
A month ago I had lost my favorite pair of embroidery sheers. I had bought them at Needle Fever in Indianapolis which closed its doors recently after 35 years in service. This economy is rough on quilt and needlework stores. Anyhow hobby lobby had the same pair in blue just like the other. I was so happy to have another pair:-)  This tatting yarn in blue multicolor is for my needle masters sal. Yes I'm going to try tatting. Wish me luck everyone. The thread is 20 wright. Hope that's a good weight to start on.
More trim all white with beads.
Here is the sparklly trim. Iridescent, silver, gold, red, and green.
These are beaded blue-violet, black plain, black iridescent, broken, tan.
Another shot of the sparkly stuff....
Does anyone remember the old Knit-Wit? The picture to the right that is yellow is an old advertisement from the 80s. Here is something very similar by Clover. Can't wait to make a flower Afghan. I would love to find an original knit-wit . Does anyone want to part with their old one or have experience with either it or the one I just bought. I would love to talk to you if you do. Leave me a comment below please.

And I have always wanted to knit my own socks....but I'm too intimidated to try.... I can barely knit and purl on one set of needles let alone five...so when I saw this loom with DVD instructions I had to have it.:-) Haven't tried it yet but I will soon.

Bloghop #1 of 2013

What was my biggest accomplishment of 2012?

Well  I would have to say organizing all my magazines into plastic zip bags in order by name and then in order by date. Also then organizing all my patterns into a large filing drawer alphabetically and also numerically for instance if I have multiple patterns from the same company such as PS. Or Cricket Collection.

What was my fav stash addition? How will I use it this year?

My favorite stash addition by far would be when I attended the Indy sewing expo in August. Rosewood Manor's Karen Kluba had her things all set up in a space.I already had one pattern of hers ...Flowers in the Crannied Wall. I love all the charms she uses and I love how they are based on quilt blocks. I got many patterns my husband spoiled me. I got Old Glory which came with dyed linen, Halloween Sampler...which is lots of fun. Halloween is a colorful holiday. I love fall. Also purchased was Oh Little Firefly, Honey Bees Quilt Sampler, and American Flag Sampler. They are all so gorgeous and amazing. I worked on Old Glory and Halloween Sampler last year. I would like to finish both this year as they are on my wips challenge from BAP-Attack. I got a video of Karen too explaining the creation of the American Flag Sampler as it was her first but I have to first upload it to YouTube. I will then put a link to the video in this blog.Visit all the blogs in this round of the Stitching the Night Away Stitching Blogger Blog Hop:
