More Dale Burdett

During my organising fun I found a few more.Dale Burdett kits. I've decided I like this designers work more than I used to especially after doing the cute mouse one. This one is from the Pitiful Pals series. It's entitled "Poor Me" or "Do I hafta". It's done on 14ct cream aida and is counted cross stitch. c1985. It comes with a frame but I done think I will use it.

Isn't this bear so cute. I was wondering if any of you stitchers have any old out of date kits like dale Burdett that you know you won't use. Maybe I could stitch something for you or give you a little money for them in exchange. I wouldn't be able to pay much so I figured you might like something stitched from my stash instead. Leave a comment and let me know. Thanks.

Onto my next little gem I found already stitched just in need of finishing. Any ideas on what I should make it into. Pillow, small quilt wallhanging? I would appreciate your comments.

Isn't Pumpkin cute. I was doing the wash yesterday and my little helper decided to inspect the dryer to make sure it was safe. She is always doing the cutest stuff. Another thing she loves to do is peer over the toilet lid to watch the water swirl down. She will try to get up on the seat when its open. I can see it now one day I will hear a splash and.she.will have fallen in. She follows me in the shower. She will sit on the edge toward the back and watch me. She is a Mommy's girl for sure.
Have a great day and blessed stitching.

Wips continued.

I forgot to show the picture of the goose girl progress. This one is so cute. Can't wait to get it done.

Just came to a conclusion since I've been trying to listen to God more and do His will and not my own. I am going to focus more on getting stuff done that I have instead of accumulating more and more patterns and kits. I have so much more than I can possibly stitch now. So I will focus more on having the threads I need and just buying fabric for pieces. Stitchers help keep me accountable. I already have so much stuff it is overflowing my craft room and the house as well. Don't want to be a boarder. I have also changed my diet to very low sugar as I am diabetic and it makes me feel pretty yucky and makes me gain weight something awful.

Well here is the next Wip.

Good afternoon everyone and praise be to our Lord. What a wonderful day today is. I finished another Wanda Brunstetter book from the Brides of Lancaster County series. A Merry Heart is book 1. I can't seem to get enough of her books.

Well I am working on my Wips and having a goal to finishing many this year. Most are kits I have obtained through garage and church sales.

Easter Bunny

The Easter Bunny came to visit last night!!! I guess his calander must have been off since he was a day late but we were glad to have him anyways. Actually he really is a bunny. His ears were so tiny and he didn't have much of a tail either. Pumpkin was at the window mewing and Jim looked to see why and he whispered," Sarah honey come look quick." I watched for quite a while. That bunny even ate one of my rose leaves. I would have chased it away for that but since it was the Easter bunny how could I begrudge a rose leave when he left me so many yummy goodies in the past. I could have sworn he glanced up at me and winked as he nibbled that leaf knowing what mischief he was getting away with:)

What do you think of the mouse finish? I got the idea from all the wonderful blogs I have been following.

Sure do need the rain to let up so Jim can mow the lawn. It's getting awfully long with all this wet and sunny weather.

Well...I'm off to stitch.

Blessed Stitching,

Christmas Mouse finishing done.

Here is my mouse all done up pretty. Would you believe that the black and tan fabric is from a sampler of drapes. My friend gave me a bunch of those sample sets of decorator fabrics a while ago and this is the first thing I've made with them. Boy did it turn out cute. Should I add more to it? Let me know. I love all the designs that are out right now but I love ones like this. I never get tired of the cute ones.

Here is what I backed it in.

And here I am all gussied up for Easter. I sang in the choir at sunrise service and had a gospel solo called Love Has Come. It went quite well.

Off to LNS

Well I found my LNS from now on. It an hour away unfortunately but I was.really happy to find it. It is called Needle Fever out of Castleton of Indianapolis. I was looking for an autumn Prarie Schoolers design but didn't find what I wanted. So of course I had to get a few things. So without further ado here it is.

Jim found this one. He likes motorcycles and so does his dad. I will do one for his dad probably.

I have been seeing a lot of people doing these on different blogs and I think they are super cute. They are the Dickens Mittens chapters 1 & 2.

These are from the Crossed Wings Collection. No.
23 and 24 . Scarlet Tanager and Western Tanager . Aren't theses adorable. Fell in love with a design by Stoney Creek of a bluebird similar to these scenes. They used a gorgeous fabric that made it look like real sky in the background. Next time I will buy that design and fabric.

These were very inexpensive for two fifty a piece. I really like this magazine ( Cross-Stitch & Needlework) and glad for it. All the designs I got were only a buck a piece. And here is the last one.

These are from Sudberry House from the Designer series No.45 Best Clocks. I love the ones with the birds in them.

Well I am off to do some stitching.
Blessed Crossing,

Thanks so much.

Today is going well. Right now I'm reading a new book by a favorite author of mine Wanda Brunstetter called A Cousin's Challenge. It's book three of the Indiana Cousins series. I've read both of the previous books and they were great too.

Book 2 was A Cousin's Prayer

Here is some more projects up around the house that I've done that I thought you all might want to see

This was a cute embellished project using blending filament. That was tricky. I recommend Thread Heaven.

A fun bear by Marie Barber . It also came in a kit. I also have partly done of that series Bear & Bunny which is below and Bear & Sandcastle which I haven't started yet and is also in a kit. I recently checked a book out of our local library www.greensburglibrary.org by Marie Barber called Cross Stitch the Special Moments of Your Life. Inside it had the whole series of bears. I didn't know there were more so I have taken pics of the cover and the series. Maybe some of you may want to stitch these cute little bears yourselves. You can buy the book. I recommend using www.halfpricebooks.com You can get most anything used for hardly any money. Or buy it new or check it out at your local library. I've always been a big advocate for libraries as I worked as a full time volunteer for a very long time.

And finally what would this blog be without a really cute picture of my German Shepherd, Sheba napping on her sisters old pillow bed.

Blessed Stitching,
