My Sweet Valentine

Jim surprised me yesterday with these goodies. He also bought me a DVD with 10 movies on it but I already had it so he is going to exchange it for one we Dont have. The chocolates are made by a Christian company and in the white vellum on the box it has 1Corinthians 13:4. Inside are melt away chocolates half are dark and half milk chocolate....yummy:-)
Here is the card I made him for Valentines Day. He said he really loved it. It really blessed him. It was a kit that came from Shari and I still owe her a mug rug. Thank you Shari. I really am sorry I haven't gotten it to you. I promise I will this week plus some extras:-)
And here is Jim's sweet smile after I gave it to him. I stitched on it all day and night.:-

1 Corinthians 13

The Way of Love

13:1 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.

4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant 5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; 6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. 7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

8 Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away. 11 When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways. 12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.

13 So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Travel down memory lane

Thought you would all get a kick out of seeing what I looked like 15 yes ago. This was 9-6-97
Dont you love this one. I love the way it looks with the bridesmaids flowers on my trai .
Here we are lighting the unity candle. I can honestly say that day was the happiest in my life.:-)

Here is my best friend and sister in law , Pam. I had pastoral classes to go to that weekend in PA. So we drove down together. We really had a very nice time.

This is back in 97-98 in Michigan on Lake Huron. Isn't the cabin Pam and I stayed at cute:-)
It was a little drizzly that weekend but it was so very lovely. We even got to have a nice cozy fire.
Here I am in Grand Rapids, MI at a flute conference. My favorite flutist, Paula Robinson gave master classes there. It was so exciting getting to meet her.
There was a store by the cabin that we stayed in who always put out this life size Alf. So we thought we'd be cute and gibe him a kiss:-)
Oh Pam's too shy I guess she'll just hold hands with the old Alfmeister:-)

Blog hop #15
Well when I get sick usually I Dont get a lot of stitching done. Out really depends based on how sick I am. If its just a head cold I might snuggle up in a blanket and stitch all day. But if its the nasty flu or pneumonia all I do is sleep so I can get better. And one thing I almost always do when sick is go through my old stitching magazines and Google and dream about what to stitch next. Thanks for stopping by this blog hop:-)

A scarf and a Ram.

I finally finished the scarf I was making Jim. Its extra wide so it can double over or stay single .
Here it is keeping his little head warm. Isn't he handsome.

This needlepoint project I think is from the 80's. What I would like to do is stitch it with all those pretty specialized stitches instead of just continental but I Dont know how how to do it. I've seen some lovely needlepoint stuff lately. I have it easy with cross stitch. Everything is already designed I just have to follow the directions. Could someone who is good at needlepoint help me do this please:-)
