Very 1st Blog Giveaway!!!

Was looking through some pictures and found one that I did of some needlework that I gave to a neighbor.I was quite proud it used overdyed thread and speciality stitches on evenweave. I was quite proud of it.

Another is a table runner using thimbleberries fabric from a thimbleberries quilting group.

I'm having a giveaway for the very first time. Here is a picture of what I am giving away.

It's four For the Love of Cross Stitch magazines and the book is called Home Sweet Sewn by Alice Butcher and Ginny Farquhar. It has twenty beautiful projects to choose from or make them all.

Here is what you need to do to enter.
Become a follower, post a link to my blog in yours,  and leave a comment. In your comment please tell me about the first design you ever stitched and about how old you were.

I will do the drawing on June 1. Good luck everyone.

  1. I love a giveaway! My first pieces as an adult were two small samplers stitched in 1993. I shan't give my age as it's classified :-) But I was over 21.
I did make a little mat in Year 2 at school so that was technically my first ever project.

  3. I would love to follow your blog =D. I posted about your giveaway in my blog too. My first cross-stitch was on linen and it presented a pigeon sitting in a branch of rose. I think I was around 20 years old when I stitched that.

  5. I had a hard time finding your blog. Glad I did. I was very impressed with your light houses living in the North East Of the Lower pennisula Of Michigan. Lighthouses are one of my favorite things. I posted a link to your blog.

quilt top the Williamsburg pattern. It was 3 sections of stamped cross stitch for a queen sized bed. Then I taught myself counted cross stitch & did Christmas ornaments. I love light houses & have seen some on the Eastern shore. I

  7. Hi Sarah Beth

I'm a follower and I've posted your giveaway on the side bar of my blog. I remember stitching on binca at school, doing lots of different embroidery stitches. At home I used to stitch crinoline ladies in a garden from iron on transfers and made into tray cloths. I must have been around 4 - 6 years old.
